ABOUT THE MISSION

Mission 22 is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Veterans and their families. Mission 22 was founded by Veterans. Most of their staff are Veterans, spouses of Veterans, or have immediate family members who have served in the US military.

They offer comprehensive, no-cost programs focusing on mental health, wellness, and community support to help Veterans overcome challenges such as post-traumatic stress (PTS), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and military sexual trauma (MST).

WHY IS IT CALLED MISSION 22?

The name “Mission 22” originates from a campaign aimed at raising awareness about the estimated 22 Veterans who die by suicide each day, based on a 2013 Department of Veterans Affairs report. Our mission is to combat this statistic by providing support and resources to Veterans and their families.

WHAT PROGRAMS DO THEY OFFER?

Mission 22 provides several programs, including:

  • Recovery + Resiliency (R+R): A comprehensive program combining biometrics, coaching, nutrition, fitness, and mindfulness to promote lasting mental and physical health.

  • Elements: A free, virtual, self-guided 28-day program open to everyone interested in science-based wellness.

  • Family Support: Dedicated resources for military spouses and families to foster complete well-being.

  • Memorial Tributes: Permanent and traveling installations honoring lives lost to PTS, TBI, and MST.

HOW IS YOUR DONATION USED?

100% of your donation supports Veterans, their families, and communities. Approximately 87.8% goes directly to programs, while the remaining supports program operations.
